1st Shift Packer

Steel Partners is seeking a dependable 1st Shift Packer to join its Anderson, South Carolina site. The role is full-time and on-site, with a first-shift schedule that supports the packing line. What The 1st Shift Packer Will Do On The Floor

On a typical day, the Packer helps prepare cartons for the packing line and works to keep the line moving smoothly when colleagues aren’t available. They verify that labels on boxes are clear and legible, supporting accurate downstream processing and fewer reworks.

Maintaining a clean, organized work area is part of the job, with housekeeping duties assigned by the Senior Operator, Lead Packer, or department manager. The role also includes performing other duties as needed to support production goals.

There is a forklift element to the position: a forklift examination must be passed, and the person in this role will operate a forklift as required to move materials and assist with packaging tasks.

Additional duties may be assigned as part of the role to support the packing line and overall operations.

The Right Candidate For This Packer Position

Must-have requirements include the ability to read, understand and follow written instructions, computer skills, and AS400 experience. The role also requires the physical capability to lift, pull or push moderate to heavy weight as needed, and the ability to operate a forklift after passing the required examination.

Pay is $19.55 per hour.
