About the opportunity
Mercy Palliative Care is fully accredited with the RACP and GP program. Our service operates in the Western region of Melbourne and provides a holistic multidisciplinary approach to palliative care. We provide psychological and spiritual support, caring for people of all ages with life-limiting illnesses in their homes as well as complex symptom management at Werribee Mercy Hospital Inpatient unit. We currently care for over 500 patients across the region in their own homes. Our service is a recognised rotation with the college.
Palliative Care Consultation Service – Twelve-month part-time (0.5 FTE) position for 2027/2028
Incumbent is able to complete Clinical Foundation in Palliative Medicine through the RACP college whilst in this role
The consultation registrar provides specialist palliative care consultation to other units in Werribee Mercy Hospital.
Offering expert guidance on symptom management, psychological, and end of life care support to patient and family and other healthcare professionals.
