Atomic Cartoons is looking for a 2D Harmony FX Artist to join our Vancouver team on a full-time onsite basis with BC remote and hybrid options. You will create FX in Toon Boom Harmony for a CG production, demonstrate a strong sense of timing and drawing fundamentals, take direction from the FX Supervisor, collaborate with the Production team, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate has prior 2D FX production experience on an animated series or feature and hands-on Harmony experience; After Effects is a plus. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in BC as of December 2025, with an early March start. Weekly pay ranges 1200 to 1500 CAD plus benefits, accommodations available on request. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Create FX using Harmony on a sequence of shots within a production schedule.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of timing and pacing, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of drawing fundamentals.
  • Take direction from the FX Supervisor.
  • Collaborate and work with other members of the Production.
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by Supervisors and Production.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Prior production experience in 2D FX on an animated series or feature.
  • Prior production experience with Toon Boom Harmony.
  • Prior experience working on a CG production doing 2D FX work in Toon Boom Harmony is an asset.
  • Prior experience with After Effects is an asset.
  • Willing to learn and have a great attitude.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Currently able to legally work in Canada.

START DATE: Early March


- Applicants must have resided within BC as of December 31, 2025 and be able to provide the appropriate supporting documents.
- All Atomic employees in this role have the opportunity to work remotely within BC, artists within Vancouver and the Lower Mainland can also choose hybrid and in-studio options. 

At Atomic Cartoons and Blue Ant Studios, we take into consideration a wide range of compensation factors including background, skills, location, and experience to determine competitive pay. In addition to competitive pay, this position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits including medical, GRSP, vacation pay, paid holiday break, paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Please note: This expected pay range is for British Columbia and is not applicable to locations outside of the province of British Columbia.

Wage ranges are based on a weekly rate.
