Blackbird Interactive is looking for a 3D Artist to join our team! We are working on a remaster of a hugely popular RTS franchise. Collaborate with our tight-knit team of highly dedicated and talented artists, designers, and developers to create best in class games. We’re looking for someone with previous experience working in an art team, and the ideal candidate has an excellent development sense, sophisticated pipeline and people skills, and the ability to build assets, materials and set decoration based on the Art Lead’s feedback.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Art Lead and dev team to develop artwork for a tactical Remaster.
- Amend RTS assets and terrain to have a modern PBR response and updated aesthetic.
- Apply new Set Decoration for existing maps that fit with the design brief.
- Explore, revise, and iterate on pipelines and gameplans quickly and efficiently.
- Consistently deliver asset work of the highest caliber that can inspire the team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience.
- Ability to work in a proprietary game engine.
- Ability to create 3D production assets and Substance materials (Painter and/or Designer).
- Experience with RTS - the successful candidate will be able to speak to the read requirements of a game of this genre.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, experience with Art Leads.
