An Accelerator Physicist role at CERN focuses on the layout and optics design of the Linear Collider Facility at 380 GeV, contributing to a future collider. You will perform beam dynamics simulations, study interaction regions and damping rings for a possible dual beam delivery system, and help write the summary design report. Strong candidates combine lepton beam dynamics and optics knowledge, synchrotron radiation, tracking, and experience with MAD, Xsuite, ELEGANT, pyAT and GuineaPig plus HPC. In your application highlight relevant projects and quantified simulation gains, demonstrate clear writing and presentation skills, confirm eligibility as a CERN member or associate member state, and indicate willingness to learn French and work in a hybrid setup.
You will contribute to a proposal covering the layout, optics design, performance optimisation and evaluation of a potential future collider at CERN, the Linear Collider Facility @ 380 GeV (LCF380).
