Coffey Ford are looking for an Accessories fitter to join our high performing team. This position plays a hands-on role in ensuring vehicles are fitted, repaired, and maintained to the highest manufacturer and safety standards. Working within a workshop environment, the role contributes to efficiency, quality outcomes, and the overall presentation of vehicles prior to handover.

 

The position suits someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works methodically, and values safety, accuracy, and teamwork. You will work closely with service teams while supporting apprentices and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Carry out vehicle repairs, maintenance, and accessory fitments in line with repair orders, manufacturer standards, and state requirements
  • Plan jobs efficiently and order required parts when necessary
  • Follow correct warranty procedures, including tagging and storing warranty parts accurately
  • Correctly complete all paperwork, recording work completed and parts ordered
  • Ensure vehicles are returned clean and presentable, using protective covers at all times
  • Maintain tools, equipment, workbench, and bay areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Road test vehicles when required
  • Follow RO procedures and ensure all parts are authorised and recorded
  • Attend training, toolbox talks, and WHS sessions to maintain technical knowledge
  • Support apprentice technicians as required
  • Take reasonable care for health, safety, and the environment

 

What you need:

  • Experience in vehicle fitting, repairs, or mechanical work
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to plan work efficiently and meet standard repair times
  • Sound understanding of workshop safety and procedures
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately
  • Willingness to attend training and maintain current technical knowledge
  • Team-focused attitude with the ability to support apprentices
  • Current driver’s licence and Australian Working rights
