Bombardier is seeking an Accountant Analyst: Fixed assets expert and financial reporting, a full-time onsite role in Québec. This position serves as a subject matter expert on fixed assets policies, partners with shared services to manage capital projects, and drives enhanced asset accounting processes and governance for accurate financial reporting, including analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, quarterly reporting, and support for audits and ad hoc requests. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting, a CPA or pursuing CPA, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, fixed asset accounting experience, and preferably SAP S/4HANA knowledge, plus bilingual French and English. What are your contributions to the team?
- Act as a subject matter expert on Bombardier’s fixed assets accounting policies
- Partner with the shared services team to manage and oversee capitalizable projects
- Enhance and maintain fixed asset accounting processes in compliance with applicable standards
- Support governance activities to ensure accuracy and quality of financial reporting
- Contribute to key financial deliverables (account analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries)
- Support quarterly financial reporting and collaborate with Finance teams and external auditors
- Participate in team initiatives and provide support on ad hoc requests
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and are a CPA designation holder or in the process of obtaining it
- You have more than five (5) years of relevant experience
- You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in fixed asset accounting is considered an asset
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is considered an asset
- You possess strong analytical skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and demonstrate initiative, commitment and perseverance
- You can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- You are bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written
