Job Description

As an Accounting Analyst at Honeycomb, you will be a key member of our Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. You will handle complex accounting tasks, analyze financial data, and provide insights that drive business decisions and ensure accurate financial reporting.

What you’re responsible for:

 

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial activities, such as month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Complete complex accounting-related activities (consolidation, report building, journal entries, reviews).
  • Analyze monthly internal financial reports and financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, performance enhancement strategies, and areas of financial risk.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Unit (BU) partners to understand their business, help them understand their financial drivers, and challenge their assumptions.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including corporate law, GST, QST, HST, and other tax-related matters.
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and reduce the production cycle time of financial information.

Qualifications

To join our team

  • You have a university degree in accounting or finance.
  • You have over 5 years of accounting experience.
  • You are pursuing a CPA designation, an asset.
  • You have excellent Excel skills.
  • You are autonomous, attentive to detail, and analytical.
  • You have a sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills.
  • You are bilingual in French and English.
