Wynn Al Marjan Island is recruiting an Acrobatic Lead Rigger for Theatre Operations in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This onsite full-time role leads the Rigging Department, plans and executes rigging for rehearsals and performances, installs and maintains systems, and coordinates stage equipment with audio automation lighting and carpentry while upholding safety protocols. You will manage scheduling, inventory and rigging records, monitor shows, and support budgeting. Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Acrobatic Lead Rigger to join the resort’s Theater Operations team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Assist the Head of Rigging in managing the Rigging Department and supervising staff.
Support the planning and execution of rigging operations for rehearsals and performances.
Aid in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of rigging systems and equipment.
Help coordinate overhead stage equipment with other departments including audio, automation, lighting, and carpentry.
Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and training programs.
Monitor rigging systems during performances and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Maintain documentation of rigging systems, inspections, and maintenance records.
Assist with scheduling, payroll processing, and inventory management.
Support the Head of Rigging in budget planning and cost-effective solutions.
Promote a safe and collaborative work environment and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Rigging or Executive Director of Technical Operations.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in theatrical rigging, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with motorized and manual rigging systems, fall protection, and acrobatic rigging installations.
ETCP Certification preferred or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
Strong understanding of rigging systems, hardware, and safety procedures.
Ability to lead and motivate a team while supporting department leadership.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Comfort working at heights and in a theatrical environment with strobe lighting and smoke effects.
Must have current OSHA 10/IOSH or equivalent General Industry Safety Card.
