NZSki is seeking an Administration & Events Team Leader for Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt in Queenstown. Our team is an important part of our mountain's personalities and help us deliver on our purpose. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Administration & Events Team Leader with incredible communication skills, remarkably organised who can multi-task and lead a team while being fanatical about delivering great customer experiences. You must also be passionate about the events industry to support the event hub that Coronet Peak is growing into. If this sounds like you then read on!
As part of this role, you will be required to manage all aspects of the administration & events team and generally keeping an ear out, so you know what is going on! This is a seasonal position, reporting to the Administration & Events Head of Department. In this role, you will assist the Head of Department to deliver the company purpose and mission statements and the department objectives.
About the role
• You will be required to motivate, develop and lead a team within the Administration & Events department
• Multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver a consistent level of high-quality, well-organised, supportive customer experiences AND staff experiences
• Support and lead the wider mountain wellbeing, as well as the rewards and recognition program
• Processing lift tickets for VIP's and Media personnel
• Provide administration support to management and other departments including note taking
• Maintaining ski area records, including invoicing, health and safety and training records
• Ordering supplies, stocktaking, management and coordination of the issue and return of all departments staff uniform
• Supporting third parties to deliver successful events and ensuring client satisfaction
• Building and managing strong relationships with all event stakeholders
• Manage, lead or facilitate all social and community events
• Manage, lead and facilitate all staff events
About You
• Minimum one year leadership experience ensuring that safe, fun and outstanding service is delivered for both our staff and our guests
• Minimum one year experience in event management
• You will bring strong organisational skills paired with a practical and innovative approach to problem solving and task management
• A strong administrative background including excellent computer skills, a professional phone manner
• Ability to remain patient and calm under pressure
• The ability to quickly build a rapport with all guests and team members, coupled with strong leadership skills
• An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed
• Able to work unsupervised, using initiative
