Administration assistant (Part-Time)

 

We are seeking an Administration assistant to join our enthusiastic and motivated team. This position is also responsible for coordinating food safety and administrative processes across the store, ensuring compliance with Foodstuffs standards and internal procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Food Safety 

 

  • Coordinate and administer the in-store food safety programme
  • Train new employees on food safety procedures
  • Ensure all departments comply with Foodstuffs food safety programmes
  • Liaise with suppliers and the Foodstuffs food safety team
  • Maintain accurate food safety documentation
  • Complete internal and external audits, swabs and training 

 

Administration

 

  • Assist with staff inductions, including issuing uniforms
  • Provide administrative support to department managers as required
  • Laundry when required
  • General office duties when required

 

About You

 

Ideally, you will have experience in the grocery industry, preferably within a supermarket environment, and demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Commitment to food safety, workplace safety, and customer service
  • Good computer skills and confidence using a range of software packages

 

Position Details

 

  • Part-time role: 15–20 hours per week
  • Occasional evenings and weekend work required
