In this position you’ll focus on ensuring compliance with product quality specifications and customer requirements throughout the New-Product-Development lifecycle, up to the formal product and process release (PPAP). Your work will help TE translate complex requirements into reliable quality controls while aligning with APQP processes and environmental health and safety programs. You’ll operate in a standards-driven environment that values clear documentation and cross-cultural collaboration.

Your day-to-day in the NPD quality role
From project kickoff to SOP and PPAP, you’ll drive the APQP deliverables and serve as the main quality liaison between the customer and TE during New Product Development. You’ll be part of a core team evaluating customer requirements, and you’ll participate in feasibility discussions and design reviews as the concept moves into development and industrialization.
As the lead for quality topics, you’ll guide the engineering team through FMEA activities using the APIS software and apply the DFMEA and PFMEA methods in line with VDA and AIAG standards. You’ll also support manufacturing engineering with statistical data evaluation, including measurement system analysis and process capability studies (Cmk/Cpk), helping quantify quality performance and readiness for production.
In addition, you’ll help create prototype and pre-launch control plans and coordinate safe launch activities within the project team to ensure everything is ready for production and meets customer expectations.
Must-have requirements
- Understanding of APQP and PPAP and the ability to apply them in projects
- Hands-on experience with FMEA methodologies
- Knowledge of ISO and/or IATF standards
- Basic familiarity with VDA practices
- Fluency in Czech and English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel within the EMEA region on occasion
Nice-to-haves
- Experience moderating FMEA using the APIS software to guide an engineering team
- Ability to support manufacturing engineering with statistical data analysis such as MSA and Cmk/Cpk
- Experience creating prototype and pre-launch control plans and coordinating safe launch activities within NPD
- Experience serving as the main quality interface with customers during the New Product Development lifecycle
