About the role

As an Advisor, Training, you’ll be part of our Learning and Capability team who help shape the future of our workforce through the delivery and support of centrally based technical training activities.

 

This role collaborates closely with frontline management, On-Job Training and Training Support Team members.  You will enable the transfer of skills learned to the work environment for frontline operational employees through the development, delivery and management of technical-focused training courses and specialist training requirements.

 

You will bring strong facilitation experience and effective communication skills to deliver a range of technical training programmes and solutions, using a range of approaches to meet organisational needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate workshops and Training Courses using a variety of strategies and tactics to promote learning transfer to the job before, during and after these interventions.
  • Deliver appropriate basic training and refresher training courses that comply with Aviation Security Officer accreditation requirements.
  • Assist as required with the delivery of approved training programmes for Pacific Island countries supported by the Aviation Security (AvSec) Pacific Project Training Programme
  • Collaborate and communicate with People and Capability to support the recruitment and training of skilled, capable Aviation Security Officers
  • Carry out training needs assessment and develop and deliver interventions to meet identified needs.

 

You will be required to travel to other locations to assist with essential training deliveries.  This will include facilitating Basic Training Courses at the Auckland and Christchurch AvSec Training Centres and assisting with other training at other airport locations as required.

 

The salary band for this role is $83,600 to $102,302. Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.
