Roles and Responsibilities:
Account and relationship management
- Take ownership of the assigned account(s), sales, and pricing processes according to the company’s pricing guidelines and marketing pricing strategy for the industry.
- Develop and maintain accuracy of assigned customers to include organizational Power Map- and decision-making hierarchy.
- Responsible for ensuring all assigned account information is loaded into CRM (Salesforce) and is accurate and up to date.
- Negotiate and close sales deals with the client(s).
- Support Key Industry Sales Manager, GSM and Regional Marketing in developing pricing strategy
- Generate and manage commercial and technical approvals
- Prepare and manage bid/tender offers
- Assist the Key Industry Sales Manager and field sales in preparing and negotiating contracts.
- Maintain close business relationships with key decision makers of assigned accounts.
- Represent Chemetall in on-site visits and key meetings of assigned accounts.
- Identify new application and/or service needs within the industry and region
Customer development activities
- Align account targets together with the Key Industry Sales Manager for assigned accounts.
- Continuously analyze and keep track of sales and identify up-/cross-selling opportunities within the account using Salesforce
- Understand technical and managerial requirements of the customer(s)
- Uncover and offer new products tailored to the customer’s needs
- Keep track of competitors’ offers and actions, initiate counteractions
- Engage clients with marketing & communication initiatives, e.g., events
Other accountabilities and admin
- Advise Regional Marketing Manager on operational key account(s) management
- Advise Regional sales team on target accounts’ activities
- Support development of sales-related trainings
- Share market insights and trends with Regional Marketing management
- Provides input into industry segment strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Chemistry or Business Administration preferred
- Knowledge of surface treatment
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Aerospace
- Familiar with entire product portfolio including sealants and CICs
- Experience with Airframe OEM and subcontractors
- Success in key account management
- Demonstrated consistent sales achievement
- Sales acumen (account & relationship management, value-based selling, etc.)
- Strategic thinking skills
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Organizational awareness
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- This position can be remote but needs to be located near a major airport: 50% travel required
