Your mission

As an Agentic AI SDLC Architect, you will define and lead the architecture, operating model, and adoption strategy of the Agentic AI Software Development Lifecycle across SI Buildings Software & Digital Services (SDS), also known as Building X

This is a highly visible transformation role for a senior architect who wants to shape how AI, autonomous agents, and AI-native engineering practices are embedded across software and firmware development at enterprise scale.

You will establish the architectural foundations, governance model, standards, and engineering guardrails that enable the transition from traditional software development to an AI-native Software Factory. Working at the intersection of software architecture, platform engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, AI governance, and product engineering, you will design the framework through which AI agents become trusted participants across the entire software lifecycle.

You will drive the evolution from isolated AI tools and copilots to a governed ecosystem of agentic capabilities spanning requirements engineering, architecture, implementation, quality engineering, security assurance, release management, operations, and continuous learning.

Your work will directly influence the future engineering operating model of SI Buildings and help create a scalable, secure, and measurable approach to AI-augmented product development.

Your new responsibilities

Agentic AI Engineering Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and evolve the Agentic AI Engineering Strategy, target architecture, governance model, and adoption roadmap across SDS.
  • Align AI transformation initiatives with business objectives, product strategy, engineering priorities, and responsible AI principles.
  • Shape the future Software Factory operating model and drive the transition to AI-native engineering practices.

Agentic AI SDLC Architecture

  • Design and own the architecture of the Agentic AI SDLC framework.
  • Define how AI agents participate across requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, security, compliance, deployment, operations, and feedback loops.
  • Develop reference architectures for human-in-the-loop, human-on-the-loop, and autonomous execution patterns.

Multi-Agent Systems & Orchestration

  • Architect scalable multi-agent ecosystems capable of collaborating across engineering workflows.
  • Define orchestration patterns, agent communication standards, context-sharing mechanisms, memory management approaches, and execution guardrails.
  • Establish standards for agent lifecycle management, capability composition, and interoperability.

AI Governance, Trust & Compliance

  • Define governance mechanisms that ensure traceability, auditability, explainability, observability, and accountability of agentic systems.
  • Embed responsible AI, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements into architectural patterns and operational controls.
  • Establish measurable governance gates and continuous, evidence-based assurance models for AI-assisted software delivery.

AI Platform & Toolchain Integration

  • Drive integration of AI capabilities into developer toolchains, CI/CD platforms, engineering workflows, cloud environments, and enterprise systems.
  • Define reusable platform services supporting AI agents, evaluation pipelines, retrieval systems, model gateways, knowledge services, and policy enforcement.

Evaluation & Continuous Learning

  • Define evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for AI-assisted development and autonomous agent execution.
  • Establish mechanisms for measuring business impact, engineering productivity, quality improvements, risk reduction, and AI adoption maturity.
  • Continuously assess emerging technologies and incorporate applicable innovations into the framework roadmap.

Your talents and experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Extensive experience in software architecture, enterprise architecture, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or engineering transformation leadership.
    • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale AI systems, generative AI platforms, LLM-based applications, multi-agent architectures, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
    • Experience with agent orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge systems, AI evaluation strategies, and AI governance frameworks.
    • Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks and relevant standards and regulations, including ISO 42001, ISO 27001, the EU AI Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, NIS2, and secure AI engineering practices.
    • Experience integrating AI capabilities across cloud environments, developer platforms, enterprise workflows, APIs, and software delivery toolchains.
  • Ways of working:
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical engineering outcomes.
    • Strong understanding of AI observability, agent reliability, evaluation methodologies, trust and safety mechanisms, and operational AI controls.
    • Strong understanding of modern software and firmware development lifecycles, platform engineering, DevSecOps, continuous delivery, and Software Factory concepts.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
