What you will be doing 

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of AGGP2027 – Graduate Future Projects Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:  

  • Contributing to the early design stages of projects, covering a number of disciplines including geometrical definition, high and low speed aerodynamics, performance, weight estimation, operability and cost in order to deliver an optimised integrated solution for either wing or complete aircraft problems. 

  • Collaborating with the wider Future Projects team, other engineering teams, marketing and strategy - so communication skills will also be key.

  • Undertake a series of placements in other business areas on Filton site, to gain wider knowledge of the business and develop your network. 

  • Possibility of undertaking a placement at another Airbus site, or even outside Airbus.  

  • Technical and soft skills training, opportunities to work on STEM projects aimed at inspiring the engineers of the future as well as personal development opportunities.

Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of AGGP2027 – Graduate Future Projects Engineer!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of aerospace or wider engineering

  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
