What you will be doing
You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Wing Structures, Systems Installation Engineer or M&P Engineer in the Wing Engineering Team in Belfast and can expect to be involved in the following:
Static Stress analysis, from first principles to FEM based analysis
Design – CATIA tools, configuration management and DMU in Wing Structures and/or Systems installation
Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis
Digitalization - automating processes using coding skills
Materials and Processes - Evaluation of materials (metals, composites), defining coatings/sealants, ensuring regulatory compliance and support to qualification.
Plant Engineering - Representation of engineering in the plant providing a single voice to the customer, supporting non-conformances and driving improvements into the industrial system.
Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of either Design, Analysis, M&P engineer in Wing Structures, Systems installation or Wing Plant Engineering Teams in Belfast.
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
Degree type: Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science (2:1 or higher)
Recently graduated or first professional experience in a relevant field
Demonstrated experience in a relevant field via a project, placement or internship is desirable,
Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
Good knowledge of coding and data analysis techniques (desirable but not essential).
Natural curiosity and excitement to explore,
Excitement to work in a dynamic and changing environment,
Passion about Aerospace and the challenges of the civil aircraft market,
Sensitivity to clients needs and ability to develop good client relationships,
