What you will be doing
You will begin your Airbus journey at our Broughton site (near Chester) which is home of Wing manufacture for all Airbus Commercial Aircraft. During your journey, you will get the opportunity to support the planning, assembly and delivery of wings to Final Assembly Lines. You will also be involved and lead enhancements of the current industrial system through continuous improvement and operational excellence activities, engineering and quality initiatives and cost reduction projects. Finally, you will be involved in projects that aim at building the future industrial system of the plant through major technical, technological and industrial step changes. The focused training and structured placements you will undertake will ensure you are fully equipped for your future career at Airbus.
Your placements will be in up to eight different areas, and may include opportunities to work overseas. These placements may be in:
Operations
Lineside support
Plant production support (lean functions, capital expenditure)
Logistics and supply chain management
Manufacturing Engineering
Programme
Quality
Facilities management
Innovation and digitalisation
All our graduates are involved in large cross-site activities and projects to make our Broughton site safer, more efficient, more sustainable and protect our future.

You will be able to combine a number of rotational placements with specialist training in the UK and overseas, as well as have opportunities to work cross-functionally and transnationally.

Tasks and accountabilities may include;
Exposure to day to day operations and managing production and products.
Identifying, analysing and solving technical shop floor issues.
Programme and project management, problem solving tools and techniques.
Strategy development and leadership of projects to deliver more efficient and cost effective processes. Application of learning tools with the business, finance and project management using Lean methodologies.
Drive innovation and cultural change.
Maintain and accelerate our push towards Industry 4.0.
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have a degree level or equivalent within:

Mechanical Engineering

Digital / Technology related
Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of manufacturing, lean production, project management and/or product development environments.
Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
