Reporting to the Way of Working Lead, you will coach Meridian Retail teams to own agile ceremonies, drive continuous improvement, and deliver training on Agile principles and tools like Jira and Miro. Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Way of Working Lead, the Agile Coach is responsible for coaching and mentoring teams across Meridian Retail to develop the skills and confidence needed to lead agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement in their ways of working. This fixed-term role focuses on empowering individuals to take ownership of key agile practices, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring teams can effectively collaborate and manage their processes. The Agile Coach will work closely with teams to identify growth opportunities, provide tailored guidance, and foster an environment of self-sufficiency. The Agile Coach will develop and deliver training sessions for teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices and tools, and collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance team performance.

We are seeking a professional with proven experience as an Agile Coach, or similar role in Agile transformation, with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.) and best practices. You will have excellent facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation. You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business or Information Technology), and any relevant Agile certifications (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster) are a plus, and experience with Agile tools such as JIRA or Miro is preferred.
