Jetstar is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for full-time, onsite roles across Melbourne Sydney Brisbane and Cairns with a 4 on/4 off roster. You’ll perform maintenance on A320 family and B787 aircraft, upholding safety, quality and regulatory standards with specialist teams. Key requirements include a trade aircraft technician qualification, Certificate IV in Aeroskills preferred, and 5+ years post apprenticeship experience with regulatory recognition. Type ratings on A320/A321 or B787 are desirable. You must hold a valid driving licence, be able to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence and a Qantas Group ASIC, and pass a Pre-Employment Medical. Your new role as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) will see you delivering high-quality maintenance and rectification services while ensuring strict adherence to WHS and Quality policies and procedures. You’ll work closely with specialist teams, applying excellent engineering standards built on a foundation of safety, reliability, and service.
Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Operations Manager, you will carry out maintenance on company aircraft, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. You’ll oversee quality control for aircraft presentation upon completion of maintenance and prior to release. Compliance with Jetstar’s Safety Management System, training, and regulatory requirements is essential. This role also requires flexibility to work at other ports, including international locations, and to build strong working relationships with contractors and external service providers.
