Safety Recommendations and Analysis
• Conduct safety studies and prepare safety research papers on accident/incident and aviation safety related subjects, and formulate safety recommendations based on the study/research conclusions.
• Formulate, in consultation with the investigator-in-charge, safety recommendations embedded in the investigation reports.
• Assist the Safety Recommendations Panel to decide the status of safety recommendation.
• Identify Safety Recommendations of Global Concern (SRGC), in consultation with the investigator-in-charge, formulate them, and update the ICAO database.
• Monitor the internationally recognized investigation and safety recommendations databases, identify risks, and assess the benefits of implementing the relevant safety recommendations in the UAE aviation sector.
• Review trends and significant occurrences from ROSI and VORSY and identify safety concerns.

Reports
• Prepare periodic reports to the Assistant Manager – APSRU on the status of safety recommendations implementation.
• Prepare periodic safety and accident prevention safety analysis reports aiming at proposals for improving safety awareness.
• Prepare periodic safety recommendations reports (generated from the investigation activities) to industry and the public.

Accident Investigation and Safety Education/Promotion
• Coordinate the implementation of the AAI’s education programs to the internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish partnership and liaising with the UAE educational institutes and research centers for improving the AAIS safety research capabilities.

Family Assistance
• Coordinate the UAE National Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Plan with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.
• Act as a focal point of the GCAA in the Joint Family Support Operations Center (JFSOC).

Health, Safety, & Environment
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

University degree in a technical discipline relevant to the aviation industry, or equivalent aviation technical qualification; and 1 year experience in aviation industry or aviation safety data analysis.
