Job Overview

As a Analyst - Equities at Emirates NBD, your role is is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of equities to support ENBD Asset Management’s portfolio management strategies. This role involves evaluating companies and sectors from a fundamental perspective to provide actionable insights that forms the basis of investment decisions. The Equity Analyst will work closely with the Head of Equity Research to ensure that research is aligned with portfolio management team’s goals and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on companies and sectors from a fundamental perspective to support equity team’s investment decisions.
  • Develop financial models and assess company valuations and potential returns.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of equities under coverage .
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to portfolio managers based on research findings.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Research to align research efforts with the ENBD AM’s overall portfolio management strategy.
  • Provide input on security selection and portfolio construction based on fundamental research.
  • Regularly update portfolio managers on potential investment opportunities.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers and senior management to ensure that research is integrated into investment decisions.
  • Participate in investment committee meetings, presenting research findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain open communication with internal teams to address their research needs.
  • Ensure that research outputs are tailored to the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports on equity research, including financial analysis, company valuations, and market outlooks.
  • Ensure that all research reports are accurate, data-driven, and aligned with investment objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of research findings and investment recommendations.
  • Regularly update research databases to ensure information is accurate and accessible.

Skills and Experience 

  • 3-5 years of experience in equity research or financial analysis.
  • Experience in analyzing global markets and sectors is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • CFA certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in financial modeling.
  • Deep knowledge of equity markets and investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with portfolio managers and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and research software.
