Bombardier is hiring an Analyst, Strategy & Business Development to optimize purchase parts inventory, forecast budgets and lead inventory governance across Montreal sites, with on-site work two days per week. The role combines supply logistics, analytics and cross functional collaboration to align procurement strategies with production needs, review monthly results with supply logistics and finance, and prepare executive reports. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Industrial Engineering, at least six years in sourcing and inventory management, strong project management and problem solving, bilingual English and French, and proficiency with MS Office, SAP or BaaN, and Power BI. What are your contributions to the team?

  • Detonate actions required to optimize purchase parts inventory and accelerate their completion to achieve targeted inventory levels ​
  • Estimate Inventory Budget & forecast.​Action plan to stay on Budget / forecast
  • Estimate and action excess, obsolete and slow-moving Inventory 
  • ​Work closely with supply logistics to complete actions required to optimize purchase inventory
  • Execute and analyze the inventory indicators, as well as manage the follow-up meetings with key participants of the operation                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
  • Review monthly inventory results with supply logistics and finance
  • Define, develop strategies and monitor the levels of inventory necessary to meet the objectives determined by Bombardier.
  • Analyze and communicate on the impacts linked to the different procurement strategies, makes suggestions to mitigate the impact of these strategies
  • Maintain relationships with various business units across sites to ensure customer satisfaction, while optimizing inventory levels and providing best practices for the organization
  • Monitor production rate changes in relation to the procurement strategy and anticipate inventory fluctuations
  • Determine the required inventory levels per family and product class
  • Monitor the different components of inventory, as well as their different Locations
  • Attend internal audits, making sure to close the actions that are under your control section                                                                                                                                                                         
  • Participate with the team in the management of high complex projects
  • Ambiguous problems are solved using knowledge and experience
  • Prepare and submit executive reports for managers and directors

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Industrial Engineering, Operations & Logistics Management
  • You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain
  • You have project management, analysis, and problem solving skillss
  • You demonstrate strong material planning and inventory management knowledge
  • You have effective communication skills and can manage complex relationships and situations
  • Meticulous, focused, rigorous, and committed to meeting deadlines
  • You are proficient in English and French (written and spoken) on daily basis
  • You have the ability to plan, organize, prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive tasks in a demanding global environment
  • You demonstrated ability to be a team player and take initiative, as well as the ability to be decisive
  • You have computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, including but not limited to: MS Office suite, SAP, BaaN
  • You have the ability to use Power BI and other programs to build governance, reports and KPIs to support the team objectives
  • You are able to develop and deliver presentations to different levels of management
  • You are able to leverage business relationships with customers with an attitude of trust, openness, and respect
  • You are able to work on site at one of our Montreal facilities two (2) days per week, sometimes more, as per the applicable policy
