Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role 

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an Applications Software Developer, CRM to join our Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions, Applications Team on a fixed-term, full-time basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide functional and technical consultation, investigation, and analysis of requirements and issues.
  • Consult on all aspects of relevant technologies and develop towards being a subject matter expert (SME) in key Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions system areas.
  • Provide technical support to the new Dynamics CRM platform.
  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot and provide high quality solutions in multi-platform IT environments within an Agile framework.
  • Provide technical expertise on Agile projects to build modular, easily rolled-out business solutions that improve the customer experience and enhance processes.
  • Articulate and deliver solutions across the wider Office 365 and Azure product suite and remain current with latest changes.
  • Undertake unit and peer testing including the creation of testing scripts and/or facilities.
  • Maintain and develop technical currency (by actively participating in user group, vendor and technology forums and availing themselves of other resources).
  • Contribute to Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions projects in accordance with the project methodology guidelines as outlined by the Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions Programme Management Office as required.

You will be a motivated, team-focused tester who plans work effectively, communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, and is committed to continuous learning.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in complex software application development, implementation and support in medium to large IT environment.
  • Azure DevOps knowledge to perform deployment to Dynamics 365 environments and Azure.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft and software technologies - .NET development, SQL Server system integration technologies and techniques, SOA, design patterns (MVC, MVP).
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Proven ability to pick-up and become productive in new technology and tools.
  • Strong communication skills; must be able to communicate difficult technical concepts to business, technical and strategical-level audience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to shifting priorities.
