The role combines hands-on fabrication, including fiberglass repairs, sheet metal work, seat retrims, chassis realignment and vehicle welding (MIG, TIG, OXY), with access to accredited offsite welding training and progression across the automotive sector. Prior experience is not required, but applicants should be passionate about vehicles, take pride in their outcomes, work safely, and communicate well within a team. Our Branch
The Engineering and Asset Management Branch is responsible for bus maintenance (both first-line at depots and second-line at Toowong Workshops), establishing and managing fleet maintenance policies, procuring fleet assets, maintaining electrical charging infrastructure, investigating incidents, managing non-bus assets and facilities, overseeing major projects, and coordinating IT requirements for the division.
