Black Toyota Chinchilla is hiring a motivated Apprentice Technician to join its onsite service team in Chinchilla on a full-time basis. You’ll learn from experienced technicians, gain hands-on experience in servicing and diagnostics, and progress through an automotive apprenticeship within Australia’s leading automotive network. What matters most: a genuine interest in the industry, reliability and punctuality, strong communication and teamwork, high attention to detail, safety focus, and a willingness to enrol in or commence an apprenticeship; a current Australian Driver Licence or willingness to obtain one is required. Desirable: prior workshop exposure. - Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles.
- Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out workshop tasks under the guidance of qualified technicians.
- Complete manufacturer servicing requirements and workshop procedures.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and assist with identifying repair requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Complete apprenticeship training and trade school requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
About You
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Current Australian Driver Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
- Enrolment in, or willingness to commence, an Automotive Apprenticeship.
- Previous workshop, mechanical or automotive experience.
- Automotive studies completed at school or through a training organisation.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and servicing.
- Experience working with tools and equipment.
