Tesla’s 2027 Apprentice Vehicle Technician program in Christchurch is a three-year, full-time apprenticeship that combines hands-on work in Service Centres with study to achieve a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology. This 3-year Apprenticeship Program is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience through full-time work in our Service Centres, while simultaneously studying to obtain a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology).

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain workshop and vehicle cleanliness, and assist in day-to-day operations
  • Support the wider Tesla Service Team in delivering outstanding customer experiences
  • Learn and perform basic vehicle servicing, inspections and maintenance under supervision
  • Learn to use diagnostic tools and automotive software systems
  • Build knowledge across all Tesla models, service procedures and safety standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Completed Year 12 education
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Be eligible to enroll with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and complete a Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology
  • Strong communication, time management and attention to detail
