As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple sites, ensuring operational excellence, high-quality patient experiences, and sustainable clinic performance.

Role Purpose

The Area Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple clinics in the Canterbury Region, including our Palmerston North site. You will support clinic managers, provide operational management, lead teams, monitor financial and operational performance, and ensure consistent, high-quality service standards across a network of six clinics in Canterbury and one in Palmerston North. The portfolio is expected to grow alongside the company. This role is based in Christchurch and requires regular travel between sites.

Role Type: Full-time permanent (1 FTE)
Location: Canterbury Region, with travel to Palmerston North
Clinics: White Cross Greers Road, White Cross New Brighton, White Cross Shirley Medical, White Cross Aranui, Durham Health, Riccarton Clinic, and White Cross City Doctors in Palmerston North
Reports to: General Manager Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational management, leadership and support to clinic managers and their teams, fostering a positive, high-performing culture across multiple sites
  • Monitor clinic performance, patient flow, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee financial management, reporting, and billing processes for each site
  • Support recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management of staff across the network
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and accreditation standards
  • Act as a key liaison between clinics, patients, and internal stakeholders
  • Travel to clinics as needed, ensuring consistent operational standards and supporting growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in multi-site operations management, ideally within primary care settings 
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational, financial, and reporting capabilities
  • Knowledge of PMS systems (e.g., Medtech, Indici)
  • Commitment to equity and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Based in Christchurch and willing to travel regularly
