ASD-W invites applications for Casual Educational Assistants (CUPE 2745) with Anglophone West School District, based in Fredericton. This onsite casual supply role requires timely deployment on short notice and prefers applicants within ASD-W boundaries near schools who can travel. Qualifications include a high school diploma plus approved related training or an equivalent mix of training and experience; some student needs may require specific training. Upload a resume, three references including one supervisory reference, and a current CRC with VSC (not older than six months). Inside Fredericton city limits, use City Police CRC/VSC; outside, obtain CRC and VSC via Education Centre offices and include emailed CRC. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.


This is a competition for Casual Educational Assistants (CUPE 2745 position) with Anglophone West School District. 

Educational Assistant Classification Specification:

Educational Assistant 

 Whereas the nature of an Educational Assistant requires timely deployment to work on short-notice, it is expected that those named to our supply list will live within ASD-W boundaries and a reasonable proximity to selected schools.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Graduation from high school supplemented by completion of an approved training course 
related to the field of work, and experience or demonstrated ability in dealing with children; or 
any equivalent combination of training and experience. Specific training, deemed essential by 
the Employer to meet the special needs of the student(s), may also be required.

If you are contacted by the Fredericton City Police to come in and you require a letter from District office, you will need to pick up an original signed letter from the Receptionist at the Office of the Superintendent/Fredericton Education Centre located at 1135 Prospect St, Fredericton, NB. 

If you live outside the Fredericton City Limits:

You will need to pick up an original signed letter from the Receptionist at the Office of the Superintendent or from one of the Education Centres that you are required to take with you to the R.C.M.P.  Please request a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check. You can pick up a copy of the letter from one of the Anglophone West School District offices:
