Experience in manufacturing is valued, especially asphalt production, chemical, or heavy industry, plus a logical approach to running a computer controlled plant and a strong safety focus; wheels track and rollers licences are preferred but not essential. We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Dunedin. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our Asphalt manufacturing plant. This will include active involvement in manufacturing activities, day to day operations, safety and environmental awareness and plant maintenance. 

This is a full-time, permanent position that will require overtime or weekend shifts occasionally. You will also be expected to provide ad hoc support to our Invercargill plant, which will involve travel to Invercargill.

You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and a proactive outlook combined with an ability to work within a small team will see you right in this role.  

You’ll also bring:

  • Some solid experience in manufacturing would be high regarded, preferably in asphalt production, chemical, or heavy industry.
  • A logical and common sense approach to operating a computer controlled plant.
  • An uncompromising focus on safety, health and environment.
  • Wheels, track and rollers licence preferred however not essential.
