Haworth is hiring Assemblers for the 1st and weekend shifts in Holland, MI to assemble final products using hand and power tools and to ensure parts meet customer specs, with overtime possible at time and a half. The position requires at least an 8th grade education, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and current right to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include basic tool use, reading blueprints, familiarity with electronic production systems, good color perception and strong manual dexterity. Key duties include verifying parts, assembling to specs, inspecting, packaging, and data entry. We are currently looking for Assemblers to join our team in Holland, MI on 1st & the weekend shift.
As an Assembler, you will:
Accesses electronic production systems to determine daily schedule and to verify accuracy of materials for each production order.
Creates pick lists, picks all needed components. Verifies that parts received match pick tickets. Monitors material flow and updates electronic production system accordingly.
Inspects incoming components, parts and/or previous station's assembly work, and completed product, to ensure proper fit and function of all components. Corrects, modifies or replaces unacceptable parts.
Assembles final product according to customer specifications utilizing hand and power tools and overhead crane.
Performs final visual and quality inspection of product prior to shipment to ensure final product is in accordance with customer specifications.
Prepares and may package components for next manufacturing process or for shipment to customer.
Enters order data into electronic production system, creates labels and stages product.
Investigates & documents production nonconformance issues.
Meet daily production requirements.
Respect and follow safety policies and regulations; scan the environment for things that may pose a safety risk; encourage others to utilize safe and healthy work practices.
Follow company policies and standard work procedures. Encourage others to follow work rules. Call attention to actions that may violate policies and procedures.
Perform quality work and inspections (per Haworth quality standards) throughout the production process.
Flex weekly work schedule as business demands; may work more than forty hours per week, including weekends and/or holidays.
Follow all housekeeping standards and complete daily 5S checklists/tasks.
Cross-train and perform in other job functions as requested.
Complete other duties as needed.
