About the role:

 

Eagers Automotive are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day accounting tasks in their central Osborne Park office.

 

This hands-on role is perfect for someone looking to grow their accounting career in the automotive industry while working closely with a collaborative, experienced team of accountants.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and submit monthly BAS returns in line with ATO requirements.
  • Support dealership cash flow through daily account maintenance and precise ledger accuracy.
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, including processing additions and disposals.
  • Investigate and resolve financial queries raised by dealership management.
  • Work alongside senior accountants on month-end close, reporting tasks, and ad-hoc financial projects.

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
