About You
You might currently be working in the baking industry as an experienced baker and have been waiting to take the next step. Over your career, you’ve built solid knowledge and skills in the Baking industry, experience with SAP or a similar ordering system would be an advantage.
You’ll be both a team leader and team player who can own the role and really take responsibility, holding yourself and others accountable. You’ll be organised and efficient, while maintaining a degree of flexibility and adaptability so you can handle the fast paced, ever-changing supermarket environment (as well as all the new ideas we will throw at you). Last but not least, you’ll have a positive, can-do attitude.
What You’ll Do
In a nutshell, your role will be to effectively assist in managing the bakery department, exhibiting leadership, and ensuring critical systems and procedures are adhered to. You’ll ensure KPIs across the department are achieved, while also developing a strong caring culture for our customers and our people. You will get stuck in, working alongside the Bakery Manager and team.
Specific tasks will include but are not limited to staff training; display planning; building an effective instore promotional program; management of critical department tasks; and planning for the future development of the department.
