What You’ll Do – Your Impact

Financial Analysis & Operational Influence

  • Dive deep into inventory, sales, costs, margins, and variances to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor spending patterns and financial fluctuations, bringing forward insights that guide smarter decisions.
  • Work closely with operations teams to understand the “why” behind the numbers and help align financial strategy with business reality.
  • Contribute meaningful analyses during monthly operations meetings to drive performance.

Financial Reporting & General Accounting Excellence

  • Support the Controller in preparing and analyzing monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close activities while collaborating with external auditors.
  • Track and reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, receivables, and recurring payments.
  • Ensure accurate account reconciliations and well‑organized supporting documentation.

Budgeting & Forecasting Leadership

  • Assist department leaders in building our annual budget.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze key data feeding into rolling forecasts.
  • Track assumptions and identify performance variances to help maintain organizational agility.

Process Optimization & Financial Systems Innovation

  • Elevate financial processes and tools, particularly within our ERP ecosystem.
  • Test, validate, and refine ERP reports to boost accuracy and efficiency.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and strengthen data integrity.

Special Projects & Professional Growth

  • Participate in cross‑functional projects aligning finance with operations, HR, administration, and leadership teams.
  • Support new initiatives aimed at optimizing financial performance and business scalability.
  • Progressively build your expertise toward a future Controller role within Techo‑Bloc.

    Qualifications

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA designation (required)
    • 5+ years of accounting experience
    • 3+ years of cost control, budgeting, forecasting, or financial process improvement (manufacturing experience is an asset)
    • Strong command of accounting principles and impeccable attention to detail
    • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query)
    • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft AX, D365, or SAP
    • Strong analytical and communication skills
    • Bilingual French/English, with excellent English to support U.S. operations
