About the role
We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA The Gap Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

What you’ll do

  • Support the daily running of the service
  • Assist with child-led, play-based programming
  • Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs
  • Maintain compliance and support administration processes
  • Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community

 

What you’ll bring

  • A Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards)
  • Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
  • Familiarity with the National Quality Framework
