The Assistant General Counsel – Dubai will support the Firm in meeting its obligations to prevent economic crime. The role covers all areas of economic crime, including anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-fraud, and sanctions compliance.
The AGC will also assist lawyers and the new business intake team with complex clearances—such as ethical, reputational, and AML matters—and contribute to the development, implementation, and training of Firm policies. While the primary focus is on the MEA region, the AGC is also expected to support economic crime prevention efforts globally, reflecting the OGC’s worldwide remit.
The Firm’s General Counsel is a New York Partner. The members of the OGC team are based primarily in London and New York. The OGC acts as the Firm’s in-house legal counsel. One of the three main pillars of its work relates to regulation and corporate governance. This aspect of its work is headed by the Head of Regulatory and Corporate Governance, Partner/Deputy General Counsel who is based in London.
