Assistant Commercial Manager – Data Centres (Dubai)
We are seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to support the commercial delivery of hyperscale data centre projects on a global scale.
Based in Dubai, you will work closely with commercial, procurement, engineering, and project delivery teams to manage procurement activities, cost control, contract administration, and supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of data centre construction projects from procurement through to project completion.
- Assist with the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts, tenders, and supplier agreements.
- Manage procurement activities, ensuring materials and services are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, and commercial reporting.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, project management, legal, and finance teams to mitigate commercial risk.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company governance, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years' commercial or procurement experience within the data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract administration, and cost management.
- Experience working with major contractors, consultants, or data centre developers is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Candidates would be already based in the UAE.
