PURPOSE:

 

We’ll never launch a product unless we consider it perfect. Our product operations teams create every shirt, every shoe and every piece of equipment for thousands of athletes and fashion lovers as if it was one of a kind. And it truly is, as they weave their passion into every single product. But translating designs, drawings and renderings into real products requires a lot of decision making.

 

As Assistant Manager Laboratory Testing you are a key contributor in the Laboratory testing process by executing and evaluating physical material, component and finished good tests, and translating the results into recommendations for material, component and product development. In addition, this role works divisionally for multiple business units.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

 

Research/Engineering/Standards

  • Support the research, development and set-up of new test methodologies and equipment
  • Support improvement of existing testing methodologies and equipment
  • Support the standards team in defining standards for new test methodologies and equipment

 

Laboratory Testing

  • Handle testing requests from various business partners
  • Execute standardized physical material, component and finished good tests within the agreed timelines and according to the latest testing standards
  • Execute report creation and proper data management in the respective systems in time and accurate format
  • Evaluate, track and analyze test results, summaries and presentations
  • Translate test results into recommendations for material, component and product development and communicate this to respective counterparts

 

Diverse

  • Train and educate colleagues and employees of other departments on specific lab tests
  • Consult and support supply partners with lab related topics
  • Support test equipment safety assessments and safety trainings

 

Sample Management

  • Handle sample process from request to storage
  • Unpack, prepare and ship product samples for testing purposes
  • Organize short- and long-term storage of product samples according to policy

 

Device Management

  • Execute purchasing of spare parts and test devices in close alignment with team lead
  • Maintain testing facilities and devices

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 4-year College/University degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • First practical experience such as internship or working student in research center or associated field preferred (e.g. laboratory or manufacturing)
  • Alternatively, combination of relevant education, work experience (min 3 years), and additional training
