Job Description

As an Assistant Manager, you will own the performance of operations - spanning the bicycle and EV fleet and tMart operations. You will be expected to operate independently, drive compliance, and work closely with cross-functional teams to improve how the fleet runs.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the operational strategy and performance of the fleet - optimizing the fleet mix across bicycles and EVs, and setting the roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Track and analyze fleet performance metrics, translating data into structured updates and clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Drive compliance at tMarts - visiting regularly, ensuring riders are showing up and following protocols, with consistent enforcement and a clear action plan for violators.
  • Identify and drive long-term solutions to recurring operational challenges.
  • Continuously refine and improve SOPs - leveraging automation and system enhancements to drive efficiency and reduce manual dependency.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Performance, 3PL, and Rider Lifecycle teams to resolve systemic issues and align on priorities.
  • Build a high-performing team, foster a culture of ownership and accountability, with clear communication, and alignment across city-level operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, ideally in last-mile delivery, e-commerce, or mobility tech.
  • Proven experience managing on-ground teams and working across functions.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Analytical thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Clear, structured communication across teams and seniority levels.
  • Strong ownership mindset — accountable for outcomes, not just outputs.
  • On-ground presence — comfortable in the field and confident making independent calls.
  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency with AI tools, including Claude.
