Your role

 

As an Assistant Program Officer, you will support the delivery of key programs within Homes NSW, contributing to initiatives that improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities. Working across a large-scale strategic program or a portfolio of smaller programs, you will assist with the coordination, implementation and monitoring of program activities to ensure they align with organisational priorities and meet service delivery needs.

 

In this role, you will provide administrative, secretariat and executive support to the Housing Programs and Products directorate of Homes NSW. You will play an important role in ensuring programs and products are delivered effectively, using strong coordination, organisational, monitoring and reporting approaches to support effective business operations across Homes NSW programs.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Provide coordination and secretariat support to the Director, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Support program and project delivery by coordinating tasks, monitoring progress and maintaining tracking tools
  • Maintain documentation, records and information systems, including TRIM and SharePoint
  • Assist in the preparation of briefs, reports, correspondence and other materials
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities by coordinating input and communications
  • Use Excel and project management tools to track data, actions and project activities
  • Work collaboratively with managers and directors and the team to support the delivery of programs and project outcomes and creation of strong cross-government relationships 
  • Work collaboratively within the directorate, contributing to a positive team culture while seeking and providing feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide branch level support for quality assurance and compliance functions

 

What we’re looking for

 

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Confidence using internal systems such as TRIM, SharePoint and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate project tasks, meetings and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to supporting agreed outcomes
