Bumble is hiring an Associate Director FP&A in London, onsite, to partner with Marketing and translate bold growth ideas into clear plans, ROI models, and measurable outcomes. You’ll own Marketing planning rhythms, build CAC/LTV and payback models, and deliver decision-ready insights that drive KPIs. Expect end-to-end variance analysis, scenario planning, and cross-functional partnering with UA, Accounting and Analytics, plus coaching a team to raise capability. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Commercial Finance/FP&A, strong Marketing ROI modelling, and comfort presenting to SLT/ELT, with prudent AI use. Apply with authentic examples of Curiosity, Courage, Respect, and Excellence, and highlight leadership and impact; if you use AI in preparing materials, keep it truthful and reflective of your real skills.
At Bumble, we’re building the Love Company — creating products and experiences that help people form healthy, equitable relationships and friendships. This role sits at the heart of how we invest in growth: you’ll partner closely with Marketing to translate bold ideas into clear plans, smart trade-offs, and measurable outcomes. You’ll bring Curiosity and Courage to complex decisions, pairing sharp commercial judgement with respectful, people-first partnering. With a strong FP&A team around you, you’ll help raise the bar on how we forecast, learn, and act — using AI thoughtfully to move faster while keeping the work grounded in sound governance and human insight.
Strategically partner with Marketing leadership to shape growth and investment strategies that support Bumble’s long-term direction, role-modelling Courage and Respect in how you challenge and champion decisions.
Lead Marketing planning rhythms (annual plan, forecasts, and ad hoc deep-dives), bringing thought leadership that connects strategy to spend, KPIs, and outcomes.
Build and evolve ROI and investment models for Marketing (e.g., CAC/LTV, payback, funnel and cohort dynamics) to guide prioritisation and resource allocation.
Provide clear visibility of performance across Marketing and the wider business, translating complex data into decision-ready insights that drive accountability against financial targets and operational KPIs.
Own variance analysis versus plan, identify the “why” behind performance, and influence actions that maximise business outcomes — seeing work through from insight to impact with Excellence.
Manage risks and opportunities across the quarter to anticipate landing positions early and enable confident decisions through disciplined scenario planning.
Partner with User Acquisition and cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounting and Analytics & Data/ADA) to interrogate and synthesise performance from multiple data sources, strengthening measurement and operational rigour.
Manage, develop, and coach a team — building an inclusive, high-trust environment that sparks Joy in great work and raises capability across the broader FP&A team through operational efficiency.
Typically requires 8+ years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.
Significant Commercial Finance/FP&A experience with confident business partnering — able to both champion and constructively challenge senior Marketing stakeholders with Respect and Courage.
Proven people leadership experience (including 3+ years managing a team of 4+), with a coaching mindset and a track record of developing talent.
Strong ROI modelling capability for Marketing investments, using unit economics and cohort-based thinking to influence strategic decision-making.
Comfortable presenting concise, compelling recommendations to senior leaders (SLT/ELT), connecting financial and non-financial performance and driving action.
Takes ownership end-to-end, collaborates with purpose across functions, and adapts plans with an agile mindset when new information emerges — grounded in Curiosity and Excellence.
Practically fluent with AI tools in a finance context: using them to accelerate analysis, scenario exploration, and storytelling while applying strong judgement, data privacy, and controls.
