THE ROLE
The focus of Marketing is to support Sotheby’s Arts & Objects departments in sourcing and promoting their auctions and selling exhibitions as well as supporting wider programming in London and Switzerland on an ad hoc basis. Marketing crucially reinforces Sotheby’s place in the broader art and luxury market ecosystem via partnerships, collaborations, and events.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing UK and Switzerland, the Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies for categories within the Arts & Objects division, aligned with company goals. They are a key point of contact for specialist departments in London in developing that narrative across all consumer touchpoints.
This role should utilize all of Sotheby’s available channels: print, website, content, digital marketing, and events, and work on cross-functional teams to coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns. Key partners will include the Specialist Departments, Press, and Operations, as well as other Marketing functions such as Creative, Special Events, Content and Growth.
An unwavering attention to detail, rigor in execution, and a proven ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically about marketing campaigns are fundamental to the success of this role.
