Company Description

Some clinics feel settled from the moment you walk through the door. The team knows how to work together, clients trust the advice they receive, and everyone is willing to step in when the day gets busy.

That is what you will find at Greencross South Toowoomba.

Our close-knit team takes a genuine “all hands in” approach. We value people who show initiative, support those around them and want to keep developing, whether that means building confidence in a particular clinical area or simply becoming an even stronger all-round GP veterinarian.

You will be joining a well-established clinic with long-standing clients who have built trusted relationships with the team over many years. Your days will offer the variety you would expect from a busy GP practice, with the time, equipment and support to work through cases properly.

The clinic

Greencross South Toowoomba is equipped with:

  • Ultrasound and digital X-ray
  • IM3 dental equipment and dental X-ray
  • In-house laboratory
  • Three consultation rooms
  • A dedicated sterile theatre

More importantly, you will be surrounded by a capable team that communicates well, shares the workload and understands that a good clinic day is a team effort.

A role that can work around you

We are open to either a full-time or part-time veterinarian and would be happy to discuss a roster that suits your experience, priorities and life outside work.

There are no after-hours or Sunday shifts, giving you the space to enjoy everything Toowoomba and the wider Darling Downs have to offer.

You will also have access to the support and resources of the broader Greencross network, including continuing education, clinical connections and opportunities to explore your interests as your career develops.

What you will receive

  • Four weeks of annual leave, plus option to convert your continuing education leave to annual leave, which will be five weeks altogether.
  • Paid Parental Leave is 6 weeks full pay (or 12 weeks half pay), with flexible return-to-work programs
  • Lincoln Institute’s Leading Edge for Veterinarians program, a 12-month online leadership course valued at $9,000 and fully funded by us. It is CPD-accredited and covers communication, time management, resilience, leadership and more.
  • An industry-leading internal CE program, including all-inclusive attendance at Australia’s largest annual veterinary clinical conference
  • Scholarship options for Membership examinations
  • Paid AVA membership or annual veterinary registration
  • Discounts across Greencross Vets, the Animal Referral and Emergency Network and Petbarn nationwide
  • Confidential counselling available 24/7 through Telus

About you

You are a veterinarian who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and building genuine relationships with clients. You bring a thoughtful, adaptable approach to your cases, communicate clearly and take pride in contributing to a clinic where people help one another.

You will also hold, or be eligible to obtain, an unrestricted veterinary registration in Australia.
