The purpose of this role

This team supports the Provisioning business units by conducting assurance activities over key business risks and associated controls. The Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring appropriate assurance across the Provisioning business units by leading and delivering reviews within the Provisioning Assurance Plan. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to provide assurance on control effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement and support the management of key risks and obligations.

What you’ll need to make it possible

The role requires a high level of assurance expertise and judgement, enabling the incumbent to operate independently, manage competing priorities and influence stakeholders to support effective risk and control outcomes.   


  • Tertiary qualifications in business, risk management or a related discipline 
  • Demonstrated experience operating within large, complex and/or regulated organisations, external audit or management consulting environments
  • Significant experience in assurance, risk management, governance, internal audit or a related discipline, with the ability to independently lead assurance reviews from planning through to reporting. 
  • Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management principles and the 3 lines model 
  • Ability to perform an end-to-end assurance review from planning/scoping through to fieldwork and reporting 
  • Ability to analyse / identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions 
  • Ability to think critically, analytically and use data-driven insights to solve problems 
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in complex or ambiguous environments.   
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent attention to detail, ability to work in a dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity 
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships to support risk and control outcomes.
