Repco Lower Hutt is hiring an Automotive Parts Interpreter to join GPC Asia Pacific, blending solid automotive parts knowledge with high touch customer service in a busy, phone based environment. This full time onsite role runs Tuesday to Saturday 8 am to 5 pm and offers clear pathways to training, progression and a supportive, inclusive culture with benefits such as paid volunteer leave and parental top‑up. Bring automotive parts or mechanical experience, excellent communication for technical and non technical audiences, a proven problem solving and sales mindset, and solid computer skills, plus a valid driver’s license and preference for manual.   • Provide technical support to our trade and retail customers through using their expert automotive parts/mechanical knowledge
  • Build effective customer relationships
  • Are superstar sellers and problem solvers, and use up-to-date product information and knowledge
  • Are committed to providing a genuine service, where they create lasting impressions and moments that matter for their customers
  • Enjoy working in a busy phone customer contact role
  • Are safety aware and constantly strive to provide the safest work environment for themselves and their teammates

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate prior automotive parts or mechanical experience
  • Be a passionate customer service expert with some sales experience
  • Be comfortable sharing knowledge and have the ability to communicate in a technical and non-technical manner
  • Be a natural problem solver who is solutions focussed with sound computer skills
  • Be a proactive and driven team player, who can also work independently
  • Have a flexible availability and hold a valid driver’s licence (manual preferred).
