Uber Technologies Inc. is hiring in Dubai for a full-time role within its Community Operations organization. The position is offered on a hybrid basis, combining on-site collaboration with remote work as appropriate. The team tackles complex issues for riders, drivers, and merchants, problems that don’t always have a ready-made script, and looks for someone who can bring both empathy and precision to every interaction. The company has built a large, real-time support engine that supports millions of people moving around the world every day.

This role is well suited to someone who can stay calm under pressure, take ownership of the customer experience, and move quickly without losing care. It’s for people who want to contribute to a tangible impact on people’s daily lives and who are comfortable operating in a fast-changing tech environment. If you enjoy solving non-standard problems and shaping how a leading platform supports its community, this could be a good fit.

Based in Dubai, the job expects you to work from the designated Uber location and participate in in-person collaboration as part of the hybrid setup. You’ll work with teams across the company to ensure riders, drivers, and merchants feel supported, even when situations are messy or unpredictable.

Hands-on support in a high-stakes role

In this role, you’ll handle tricky, non-standard issues that come in through several channels, turning ambiguity into clear next steps for users. You’ll provide thoughtful, high-quality assistance through both written tickets and phone conversations, stepping in to resolve escalations when there isn’t a predefined path forward. You’ll also look for root causes behind recurring problems and share practical findings with leadership to help improve the platform at scale. As patterns emerge, you’ll flag new ticket types to help your team unblock bottlenecks and refine global support workflows. In a high-volume setting, you’ll balance speed and accuracy, making swift but careful decisions to hit performance goals. Collaboration across functions will be key to clearing blockers and building lasting trust with the community you support.

The core aim is to keep the community’s trust intact while continuously tightening up the processes that govern how issues are resolved. The role invites you to contribute to solutions that have a real impact on how people move safely every day, with a focus on practical improvements that scale beyond one-off cases.

Must-haves

  • Clear written and spoken communication in Arabic (Egyptian dialect) and English, enabling precise, multi-language support
  • At least one year of experience in a high-volume service environment such as retail, hospitality, or a contact center, with comfort handling multiple digital channels and basic software tools
  • Ability to work from the designated Uber location in Dubai
  • Experience supporting customers via phone, chat, and email across different platforms
  • A demonstrated ability to stay calm and resilient when dealing with emotionally charged or stressful situations
  • Experience working with stakeholders and influencing internal teams to remove blockers for customers
  • A systems-thinking mindset with a talent for spotting inefficiencies and improving workflows
  • A genuine interest in the Uber platform and in helping shape the future of real-world movement

Advice for applicants

Lead your resume with the kinds of problems you’ve solved in high-volume, multi-channel support and demonstrate your fluency in both Arabic and English, since this role requires handling conversations in two languages.

When you describe your must-have skills, back each claim with a concrete example: a time you conducted root-cause analysis on a recurring issue and the measurable improvement that followed, plus a story about coordinating with other teams to remove a blocker.

For interviews, be ready to walk through a complex escalation from start to finish. Share a structured STAR story about a multi-modal case you turned around and the way you identified a pattern that led to a scalable change in your team’s workflow.

Finally, consider asking about how the team surfaces ticket-pattern insights and how leadership translates those insights into global process improvements. A good question could be: what kinds of emerging ticket patterns have most driven changes to support workflows in the last quarter?
