Bombardier seeks a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Technician with GCAA/EASA license and Global or Challenger type rating for its new Abu Dhabi Service Center at Al Bateen, slated to open in Q1 2027. This full-time hybrid role requires relocation to Abu Dhabi to support the expanding Middle East aftermarket team and involves troubleshooting, repairs, supervising technicians, signing off maintenance. Requirements include GCAA or EASA Part 66 B1 or C, Challenger/Global type ratings, 5+ years with Bombardier, Part 66 Appendix I, Part M/145 knowledge, EWIS/CDCCL, and ability to read drawings. This center will offer advanced MRO capabilities and support the entire Bombardier aircraft portfolio. This position is based in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate must relocate and establish residence in Abu Dhabi. Please apply only if you are prepared to relocate and reside in Abu Dhabi.
This position is open to candidates currently based in the UAE; relocation support is not available.

What are your contributions to the team?
- Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft
- Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
- Be able to train, coach and support other employees
- Perform complete engine runs as required
- Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
- Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
- Release maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
- Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff Category C
- Perform maintenance at off-site locations
- Assist when providing time estimates
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold an GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or C.
- You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger and Global series.
- You have operated as an experienced licensed aircraft technician, taking ownership of complex maintenance assignments, signing off aircraft to ensure airworthiness, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience of Bombardier Aircraft type i.e. Global &/or Challenger series.
- You have up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
- You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations.
- You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations.
- You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
- You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- You are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status.
- You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment.
- You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards.
- Able to work in shifts and occasional night shifts ( if required)..
- Able to travel for business needs on short notice.
