Motel One Group in Glasgow seeks a full-time onsite Bartender for the One Lounge, bringing warm hosting, efficient service, and a collaborative mindset. You’ll help organise bar service standards and schedules with the department manager, advise guests and upsell Lounge products to hit the sales budget, manage beverage orders and month-end inventories, and gain cross-department insights through our multicultural teams. The ideal candidate may have an apprenticeship in hotel trade or relevant hospitality experience, but personality and hosting skills come first. Job Description

Thanks to your hosting skills, our guests will enjoy a wonderful stay. As well as tending the bar and One Lounge, your duties will also include the following: 

• Providing a seamless, rapid service
• Helping to organise the bar service and determine all the necessary standards and schedules in cooperation with the department manager
• Providing advice to customers and actively selling Motel One Lounge products in order to achieve the One Lounge sales budget
• Helping to order food, beverages and spirits for the bar areas and take inventory at the end of the month
• Gaining interdepartmental insights into new areas of activity by working in our multicultural teams

Qualifications

Whether you are a hotel professional or changing careers – you will fit in here! Because personality and hosting skills are our priority. You will also:

• Have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel/catering industry or be looking for a change of career
• Be open and communicative  
• Have hosting skills and a passion for the hotel industry
• Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
• Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together
