Position Overview

As a member of a fast-paced team working with both operations and finance, the Billing Clerk will be responsible for entering employee timesheets and invoicing for our contracts, either Residential or Utility. A successful candidate will be someone that has a high attention to detail, self-starter that can handle multiple tasks at once and enjoys research and resolution of accounts receivable issues.

 

This position is based at corporate office in Ancaster (8:30AM to 4:30PM) and reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.

Job Duties

•    Preparation of customer invoices on a weekly basis based on field execution
•    Ability to meet the high paced volume of data entry while maintaining accuracy
•    Working with both operations and finance teams for accurate reporting (Reviewing accuracy of the work performed by operations to ensure accurate billing to the client with supporting documentation)
•    Prepare invoices based on customer contract pricing, customer requirements and review details for accuracy (Utility)
•    Calculation of Work in Progress reports for month end closing (Utility)
•    Ensuring records and files are accurate
•    Conduct research and resolution of Accounts Receivable issues
•    Reconciliation work as required
•    Performing data searches; recording and analyzing results
•    Cross training with another team member to provide back-up support for different contracts

Qualifications

•    Diploma in Accounting, Business or a related discipline 
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables)
•    Strong attention to detail and highly organized
•    Able to prioritize multiple demands
•    Able to work independently and with little direction, following instructions accurately
