Cundall is offering a full-time on-site BIM Apprentice role in London within its Building Services team, part of the Level 4 Building Services Engineering Senior Technician apprenticeship with London South Bank University. You’ll join the BIM team to learn how to manage and coordinate BIM across design stages, keep models accurate and up to date, train project members on BIM software and workflows, and help develop as built documentation such as COBie data and classification systems. The Role You'll Play

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Building Services Engineer to join our London office to learn what it takes to carry out the design of building services on some of the most exciting built environment projects in the UK and worldwide.

 

Joining the Building Information Modeling (BIM) team you will:

  • Learn how to manage and coordinate the use of BIM throughout the design stages.
  • Work closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice ensuring that BIM models are accurate, consistent, and up to date.
  • Under the guidance of our team of experienced engineers, we’ll equip you with understanding BIM processes and standards so that you can support with training project team members on BIM software and workflows and facilitating communication and collaboration between different disciplines.
  • Also learn how to develop BIM Models effectively for other required as-built documentation such as COBie data or classification systems.

 

As you develop your technical engineering skills with us on real-life projects, working four days of the week with one day-release to study for the appropriate academic qualifications at London South Bank University.

 

Beyond your apprenticeship Cundall can offer you support towards achieving chartership status with CIBSE or IMechE, and in the long-term the opportunity for a truly rewarding and exciting career.

The Skills You'll Bring

To qualify for the apprenticeship standard:

  • A Level EEE - Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics (UCAS points: 48)
  • T-level (Pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning. (UCAS points: 72)
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma MPP in an Engineering subject area or Construction and Built Environment area (Must include Mathematics and Further Mathematics) (UCAS points: 64)
  • BTEC Level 3 National Diploma MM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. (UCAS points: 64)
  • Building Services Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship MP (UCAS points: 48) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
